The issues related to self harming are now a public debate. People are beginning to understand the need for compassion and conversation. Nigel's passing has brought this home to me and helped me more actively help others. His Auntie Betty has recently passed away and although Nigel had not seen her for 40 years Betty always shared her fond memories of Nigel with others. That says a lot about him.
